About the Brand
Masami is a sustainable haircare brand inspired by Japanese oceanlife. They create healthy, natural products to hydrate and manage any type of hair. Their products are high-quality, vegan, sulfate and cruelty-free. They use natural ingredients, such as botanically hydrating Mekabu that, beneath the Wakame leaf, is filled with ocean vitamins and minerals.
All Masami’s products are infused with Mekabu powder from a family-owned seaweed company. The company also gives back to ocean conservation by supporting Kazuya Yoshino at the Masami Institute and his work to rebalance the ocean ecosystem and support the local people in the northeast region of Japan, where the tsunami in 2011 devastated the area.
